Under a bridge in the neighborhood of Colentina, on a dreary autumn night, two abandoned puppies, Hera and Artemis, were sheltering scared and hungry. Despite the darkness and the rain, the two cuddled together, huddled next to each other, seeking warmth and safety.

It wasn’t long before someone heard their cries. With hearts full of compassion, ARGOS friends found them and took them to a safe and welcoming place, and we cared for them with love and care.

Hera, bright-eyed and ears turned up with hope, was adopted by a loving family in just two days. The happiness she felt in the arms of her new owners was truly unparalleled.

But Artemis, more reserved and shyer, needed more time to open up. She stayed in our care for two months, during which time we looked after her and prepared her for adoption.

But fate also took care of Artemis. After a period of settling in and trusting her, she was adopted by another wonderful family, who gave her a home and a loving heart.

Today, Hera and Artemis are two lively and cheerful teenagers growing up in the care of their adoptive families. Through the kindness of these people, Hera and Artemis have learned to love and be loved in a way that has filled our hearts with joy and gratitude.
