Found fragile and barely alive in a block of flats’ garden, Mau’s survival seemed uncertain. A compassionate rescuer intervened, providing critical medical care during an intensive week of recovery.

Initially terrified and withdrawn, Mau struggled to understand safety. Noises and human presence triggered his deep-rooted fears, a testament to his traumatic past. But his new family offered something profound: unconditional patience.

Slowly, cautiously, Mau began to transform. He would emerge briefly to eat, to play with his siblings, gradually realizing he was surrounded not by threat, but by love. The person who rescued him became more than a savior—he became Mau’s most trusted companion.

Today, Mau understands a fundamental truth: he is loved, he is safe, he is home.
